Ruling on working in breweries

What is the ruling on a Muslim who sells alcohol or drugs? Do we call him a Muslim or not? What is the ruling on a Muslim who works in a winery? Does he have to quit his job if he finds no one else?

The answer: Selling alcohol and other forbidden things is a great abomination, and similarly working in wineries is forbidden and abomination. Because of the words of God : And cooperate in righteousness and piety, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression [Al-Ma’idah:2] Undoubtedly, selling alcohol, drugs, and counting in factories is a sin. آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنْصَابُ وَالْأَزْلامُ رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ۝ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلاةِ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُنْتَهُونَ [المائدة: 90، 91]. And it was authentically reported on the authority of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, that he cursed the wine, its drinker, its legs, the one who squeezed it, the one who squeezed it, the one who carried it, the one carried to him, the seller and the buyer, and the eater of its price.

And it was also true of him - peace and blessings of God be upon him - that he said: God has a covenant for whoever dies drinking wine to give him Tinat Al-Khabal. It was said: O Messenger of God, what is Tinat Al-Khabal? The juice of the people of Hell said, or he said the sweat of the people of Hell.

As for his ruling, he is disobedient and immoral with that and deficient in faith, and it is on the Day of Resurrection under the will of God. If He wills He will forgive him and pardon him, and if He wills He will punish him if he dies before repentance with Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah; For God Almighty says: Indeed, God does not forgive association with Him, and He forgives what is less than that to whom He wills [An-Nisa: 116] Because by doing so, he is denying God Almighty and His Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace.

The same is true of the ruling regarding one who legalizes adultery, sodomy, usury, or other forbidden things that are unanimously agreed upon, such as disobeying parents, severing ties of kinship, and unlawfully killing oneself.

As for the one who does it or something of it knowing that it is forbidden and knows that he has disobeyed God by that, then this is not an unbeliever, rather he is an immoral under the will of God Almighty in the hereafter if he does not repent before death, as was presented in the ruling on the drinker of alcohol. God is the source of success [1].
